Welcome Home.

If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram, you know that today is Move-In Day! Well, it’s actually part one of the big move since my furniture won’t be delivered until tomorrow. But I have electricity, cable and internet crossed off the move list so I’m feeling pretty good. When I got here this morning, the property manager gave me a walk-through and reminded me of all of the features in my new place. When he was finished, he shook my hand and said, “Welcome Home Jerrell.” I could’ve cried! I’m so emotional. It’s not helping that my parents are walking through my brother (and his future wife’s) new apartment in Charlotte right this minute. So crazy.

Speaking of Charlotte, I had SUCH a good time. We spent the weekend exploring uptown (which is actually downtown I think) where my brother will be living (and playing). We ate amazing meals, spent time with family members and shopped at the best mall I’ve been to in a long time: South Park Mall. We also celebrated my Mom’s birthday and Father’s Day. Can you believe my mom is fortysomething? The girl is stunning.

I can’t wait to go back to Charlotte for the first Panthers pre-season game. Sudan and I will definitely be spending a lot of time there this season. Do any of you live there or spend time there often? I want to hear about all of the great places to eat/shop/etc. I’m sure my F-SIL (future sister-in-law) would appreciate the suggestions too.

Anyway, I’m off to do some work before I get back to moving later this afternoon. I’ll post a full apartment tour in a few days when it’s all finished. Have a great day dolls!
