I’m one of those people who starts thinking about my next trip as I’m getting off the plane from my last. Sudan and I had so much fun in Florida and now we’re trying to figure out where we’re going next Summer. Cabo San Lucas? Greece? Hawaii? The Bahamas? A European tour? I want to do it big next year. We like the beach, we’re looking to do a little sightseeing and/or recreational activities (it’ll probably be a small group of us), and the hotel/resort has to be extra plush. That last one was obviously added to the list by me, but it’s super important. So where have you been? What’s your favorite resort? And how far out do you typically book a big trip?

Hi Jerrell,
I love your blog and classic tailored style! I also love planning trips, which is my favorite past time. Last year, my husband and I visited Europe which we planned for about a year. The key is to narrow down where you would like to go. Once you narrow down your choice, watch the prices on different travel sites for a couple of weeks to find great deals on tickets. We were able to get a flight to Barcelona, Spain for $800 round trip for both of us! Just from researching and catching a flash sale on Expedia.com. For domestic or trips to the Caribbean we normally plan those out 3-6 months in advance. Some great hotels are The Ritz Carlton in Jamaica, Hotel Arts ( a Ritz Carton Hotel) in Barcelona, Spain, and The Arch London in London, England.
Another tip is book in advance for tours and museum visits, especially in Europe. The lines for museums in Europe are very long. If you purchase tickets in advance you can normally just walk right in.
Sorry for the long post. I’m just passionate about traveling :) I hope this helps! Have a great day.
