I’m going through a breakup…with my parents. I’ve gone back and forth about moving out for months. That’s a lie. For almost a year. But I’m a law student. Everyone knows law students are poor. So as much as I hate being home sometimes, I’ve been trying to avoid paying bills for as long as possible. Last week, I told myself I’d stay home for the summer and move out in the Fall. But apparently my time has officially run out. And the apartment search is in full swing.
After thinking about it all day, (Roommate or no? Suburbs or city? Apartment complex or rented condo?) I decided to try to find a studio or one bedroom in the suburbs. I need to be as close to my office (and the families I babysit for) as possible and I’m willing to commute into the city if that means a lower rent and more space.
I have a few places to see today and tomorrow, but I’m already mentally decorating my new space. And this is what I’m thinking…

The struggle is real, Soror! I’m in a roommate situation now and moving to another in a few weeks, but lived in Glen Burnie for about 3 years. Rental prices were decent, but now??? Just one year later? Omg!!! Hope you find something you like!
Oh, have you heard of The Educated Babysitter? It’s run by our soror Tracy Smith Houston and there are a few sorors that are sitters with her. Check the service out if you want to pick up some additional workflow. Inbox me if you have questions.
Thanks soror! I actually already found a place so I’m just waiting to hear back now. Pray for me!
I hadn’t heard of The Educated Babysitter, but I’m definitely going to check it out. Thanks so much!
