So you know how I’m moving? My lease starts tomorrow. And right after I pick up my keys, I’m flying to Charlotte for a mini family vacation. I haven’t packed a thing. I have a pile of laundry bigger than my dog. And I can’t stop adding things to my Anthropologie Wish List. At the top of the list is this polka dot apron. Yellow is one of the main accent colors in my apartment, so this yellow one will work perfectly. I’ve been looking for an apron forever because I kind of want to be June Cleaver. Found it. Love it. Buying it.
I also found this Kate Spade gem while I was out shopping for the apartment. Mine is actually black, but I couldn’t find a picture of it anywhere. I’ve been looking for a crossbody bag forever. I wanted one in a basic color, I wanted it to be classic (not trendy) and big enough to fit all of my junk essentials. After months of searching, I found the perfect one for me. It has so many pockets for a little bag. It’s boxy and classic. And the lining is printed with black and white polka dots. I’m obsessed. I would probably buy a second one in a bright color if I could find it again. I think this one is super cute and girly too. I also love the Rebecca Minkoff M.A.C. clutch for a trendier option.

And the last random thing I want to tell you about today is my new MUJI 5-drawer acrylic case. My makeup collection has gotten out of control so I’ve been looking for a good way to organize it before I move. I don’t want to take any clutter to my new place. I saw this case on Elle Fowler’s YouTube beauty channel a while ago in a video she did on makeup organization. The drawers are kind of shallow so they can’t fit all of my makeup, but this is great for my enormous lip product collection and all of the random eyebrow/eyeliner/lip liner pencils I have and mascaras and things like that. There are so many other great MUJI storage products that I want to order to help with organization as well. Since I’ll be living in a studio, it’s really important to make sure everything has a place. Can any of you recommend any other places to check? What do you use to store your makeup/jewelry/etc.?
I can’t believe the move is almost here! I can’t wait to show you all the finished product!

I do not have makeup / jewelry to store but i think I fall into the “etc.” section :-P I’m sure you already know but The Container Store is a great place to find ways to manage your storage.
Yeah The Container Store is next on my list of places to hit. And I’m sure you have some manly skincare products/cologne you need to store lol
You have just described my search for a crossbody purse and I LOVE the one you found!! (would want it in black). I have been looking for almost a year! I clicked on the photo to try to track it down, but it looks like it’s discontinued on Kate Spade.com?? Do you mind if I ask where you found yours?? I will call wherever that is and IF they have a black one, pay full retail and GET IT!!!
Sorry Phyllis! I totally meant to say that I got it from Nordstrom Rack. They had a lot of them at the Dulles Town Center location near my house so I’m sure you’ll still be able to find it.
