You guys all know that I’m a big ideas kind of girl. I always have a new plan up my sleeve and I kinda love it. Well, I recently discovered (late, as usual) another big ideas kind of girl. Her name is Lara Casey and she’s the founder, editor-in-chief and publisher of one of my favorite wedding magazines, Southern Weddings.
A couple of weeks ago, I discovered her little print shop on another one of my favorite blogs. I clicked over to it and immediately bought this and this (which you’ll remember from last week’s Highlights post). As I was scrolling through, I also discovered this gem: the Making Things Happen Powersheet Set. I don’t know about you, but I’m not the most organized person. When I get an idea, I write about it in every notebook that I own. I take notes on my iPhone and my iPad. And although it comes together in the end, it sometimes takes a bit longer than I would like and I’m sure I lose a few fantastic ideas along the way. But now that I have this powersheet set, I’m feeling a lot more confident about my newest idea. The set includes pages for brainstorming, for creating a vision/inspiration board, for writing out goals and timelines and it even includes two postcards to encourage others in their big ideas.
My favorite feature, though, is definitely the Weekend Tending page. I’m guilty of losing my way, especially when it comes to my blog, because I don’t take the time to inspire myself or to seek inspiration. These pages allow you to plan out your relationship time, your recharge time, and your creative time. Because really, how can you keep going without those things?
I know some of you don’t need these pages. You’re already super organized and plan everything out perfectly. But some of us need a little help. And I’m so glad there are people out there who create these types of things. So go buy it, and pick up a perfect little print to go with it. Or maybe a notepad. Think of it as a mid-week treat for yourself and a seed planted for your future endeavors!
