Highlights.

This week was pretty crazy. It all started last weekend when I decided to treat the Easter holiday like a vacation instead of working on my final Lawyering Process paper. Definitely learned my lesson at about 2am Monday morning when my computer screen still looked like this….

In case you can’t see that, that document has one word on it: “Contents.” And yes, I was watching The Biggest Loser on Netflix. I’m pretty sure crying every 10 minutes with the contestants wasn’t helping my progress. Anyway, with lots of coffee, and possibly some delirium, I eventually finished that paper and promptly spent the rest of the week recovering. There’s only one more week of classes and then the finals craziness begins. {Let’s all collectively start praying!}

But the highlight of my week by far occurred on Sunday afternoon when I got a “HE PROPOSED!!!!!!!” text from one of my best friends and sorors, Britnie.

When I talked about reading the book Remember the Roses a few weeks ago, I didn’t know how much the lessons in that book would immediately start to pop up in my life. There’s a section in it that talks about being happy for your friends and loved ones when your dreams are realized in their lives and celebrating those moments with them.

When Britnie told me she was engaged, I felt more joy than I can even express. I ran to tell my mom and we immediately began planning her bridal shower. (look for a planning email soon Chervon!) The next day she asked me to go wedding gown shopping with her and I probably would’ve cried my eyes out if I wasn’t so tired (from the aforementioned paper fiasco). Instead, I squealed with excitement! It means SO much to me to be a part of her planning process and I will do everything I can to make sure she has the most amazing wedding celebration ever.

This is what life is about.

These dreams.

These moments.

These friendships.
