I’m back! If you follow me on Twitter, you already know that I decided to get out of New York last night before the snow came. I was hearing all kinds of craziness about the storm and when I saw that JetBlue was waiving all change fees, I jumped on the last flight out of the city. JetBlue is my new favorite airline. Those $15 “extra legroom” seats are SO worth it.
I missed the last half of the day at the IFB conference, but I was ok with that. While I think that the conference is fantastic for new fashion bloggers, I’m not sure it was worth it for me. I was expecting in-depth workshops, but I found that a lot of it was surface advice for newbies. And let’s be honest…I’m a lifestyle blogger who loves fashion. Not a fashion blogger. Definitely needed, but not so much for me. Nevertheless, I’m always down for a New York trip, especially when it includes wedding dress shopping! And to be honest, I really needed the getaway.
I got home last night around 7 and went straight to the gym with the family and Sudan. My brother has been training a few of us girls and while each workout is crazy hard, we’re all loving it. I also ran for the first time in months! Training has officially begun for the Nike Women’s Half Marathon in DC! I felt surprisingly good, but that’s because I only ran a mile and a half. The next twelve weeks are going to be brutal. But anyway, enough babbling…onto the highlights!
If you’re into juicing, like me, you’ll love Pressed Juicery’s blog, The Chalkboard. Have any of you ever tried Pressed Juicery? I really want to try one of their cleanses. I love that you can choose your juices!
If you haven’t done so already, download the Nike Training Club app. Without this app, I would never do any strength training on my own. And you can use your own music during the workouts. No more 80s fitness video music to drive you crazy during your workout!
Blog of the Week: Camille Styles. Bookmark it!
I’m having a cousin party this weekend and I’m dying to make these. They’re adorable!
This isn’t really a highlight, but does anyone have a fantastic King Cake recipe? I’m in desperate need of one.
I want these candles in my house.
That’s all I’ve got for today! Hope you all had a fantastic week. Stay warm this weekend!
