Due to the sickness that has plagued my life this week, I don’t have too many highlights besides the fact that I survived. And now have a cold. But anyway, I’m really looking forward to the weekend.
Tomorrow and Sunday, my extremely talented cousin, Lindsay, is offering Fall portrait sessions in Brambleton, VA at Legacy Park. If you live in the area, I highly encourage you to stop by. On Saturday night, I’ll be attending the Tigerlily Foundation EmPower Ball. Breast cancer awareness and fundraising is a cause that is very close to my heart, so I’m definitely looking forward to this event. I’ll take lots of pictures to share with you all next week.
And possibly the most exciting moment of this week is that I purchased my first piece of art today!! Remember how I told you all about my favorite artists a few weeks (months?) ago? Well, I’ve been looking for my first painting since then, but I was having trouble narrowing it down to just one. I wanted something that would stand out in my apartment, but also something that really felt like me. And then, I met Gloria.
The painting is by Christine of Bijou and Boheme and Wink of Pink. I really encourage you to check out her blog and her Etsy shop (I’m loving Plum too). I love how blatantly girly her paintings are. This one really stood out because of the neon and I love the all of the different gold elements. And did I mention that my grandmother’s name was Gloria? It was meant to be! I cannot even wait until it arrives!
