Hey There, Bright Lips.

I’ve been on a makeup fast since Monday. Partly because I wanted to give my skin a break from trying new products and partly because I’ve been waking up early for my new job. If/when I oversleep, makeup is the first thing to get cut from the morning routine. I have a weekend full of makeup testing planned though, including shooting my first beauty haul/product review video for the blog!

I’m loving lots of products and trends right now, but none more than bright lipstick. I’ve always been afraid to go too bright or glossy because I have really full lips and I never want my mouth to enter the room before I do. (weird thing my parents used to tell me back in my lipgloss-obsessed middle school days). But after seeing pictures of other brown-skinned celebrities rocking red and pink lips, I decided to face my fear. I’ve already started adding to my lipstick collection, as I’m sure you already guessed, but I’m still looking for more colors and inspiration. Here’s what I’ve been pinning to my beauty board lately…
